City Scape Winery

Hopefully I can share our adventures, and inspire you to visit the many unique boutique wineries found in North and South Carolina. My blog post will likely be posted in short verses.I will certainly try to include pictures our our adventures.

My gorgeous fiancĂ© Jenni, and I travel most weekends to different area of North or South Carolina and visit whichever wineries we can find in that particular area. So far, we've visited about 50 different wineries. We certainly have our favorite and I'll first write about those.

In South Carolina, very few wineries compared to North Carolina. Our favorite though, is City Scape Winery in Pelzer, just south of Greenville. Owners Josh & Deb are so much fun, along with their pet pig Pinot. Their website explains that they are the youngest winery owners in the Southeast.  Though only growing Muscadine on site, Josh is using some grapes from Upstate New York to create some really great blends. City Scape offers a very nice outside sitting area with a fire pit. We've enjoyed sipping a glass around the fire pit making s'mores. City Scape also offers a cheese platter featuring cheese from nearby Happy Cow Creamery. Stop by the creamery on your way out.

If you in the Greenville Spartanburg Anderson area, strongly encourage you to make City Scape a regular stop. If you're like us, and visiting NC Wineries, we highly recommend making the drive down I85 and visiting this awesome South Carolina winery. Tell'em Dennis & Jenni sent you.

Next post....will discuss some of our favorite North Carolina wineries.

Happy weekend adventures!
